Pseudo-precision system for row crops, maize / sunflowers
The conversion to conservation agriculture brings even greater challenges on large areas with different soils. The Novag T-ForcePlus 850/950 is the machine that farm managers, agronomists and drivers have been waiting for. Low soil movement during sowing is the key to the success of no-till. Thanks to the advantages of the Novag openers and IntelliForcePlus depth control, the risk of failure is reduced to a minimum.
The machine is extremely resilient to cope with different soils at an impressive working speed. Its weight is supported in the field and on the road by a sprung crawler track developed in collaboration with Michelin and Camso. Despite working widths of 8, 9 or even 10 m, the machine is compact when folded and can be easily transported on the road thanks to its 3 m width and <4 m height.
The T-SlotPlus system from Novag ensures optimum seed placement and therefore reliable yields, even in difficult no-till conditions. The special T-slot shape is created by a vertical disc and two T-shaped Seed blades, which place the seed and fertilizer separately to the side.
Lots of pressure, but intelligently
Soil resistance varies greatly – due to compaction, stones or changing soil types. The IntelliForcePlus system automatically adjusts the coulter pressure for a constant sowing depth, especially with no-till.
Sensors on the Press wheels measure the resistance, hydraulic cylinders regulate the pressure individually for each opener (up to 500 kg and 430 mm stroke). Thanks to the parallelogram, each opener always remains stable and in precise contact with the ground
The total volume of all hoppers of the T-ForcePlus 850/950 is 7,700 liters and is divided into four chambers – for maximum sowing flexibility.
The two central main chambers ensure reliable separation of seed and fertilizer. Their volume distribution can be set to either 55 / 45 % or 33 / 67 % to optimally adapt the ratio to different crops, seed quantities or fertilizer strategies.
Two 350-liter additional tanks are optionally available at the rear, which can be used in a variety of ways – either for the separate metering of additional products such as fine seeds, micro-granulates or slug pellets. However, these can also be connected to the rear main chamber to increase the volume.
All hoppers can convey their products to each openers independently of each other – whether on the front or rear seed bar. This means that multiple combinations such as two crops + fertilizer + additional product are also possible without any problems.
All metering units are driven by hydraulic motors, which promises constant performance – even at low speeds, without overheating or loss of torque. The calibration process is fast, precise and intuitive – in line with modern, efficient direct seeding technology.
Two powerful fans with integrated oil coolers and air preheaters ensure optimum working conditions at any temperature.
Selective selection of openers
The Novag seed drill allows exceptional flexibility in the choice of active seed rows.
The sowing depth of each opener can be individually adjusted and also selectively switched on and off – for example every 2nd, 3rd or 4th row, ideal for rapeseed, soya or maize.
Twin Row
Double rows are also possible quickly and easily thanks to the hydraulic single coulter shut-off. This means, for example, that maize with a general coulter spacing of 18.75 cm can be sown with only 2 out of 4 openers.
This results in a double row, which has a center distance of 75 cm to the next double row.
Alternatively, there is IntelliRow, a Pseudo-singulation system which, with the additional tanks, ensures precise placement, especially of sugar beet and sunflowers.
Intelligence in every row
The Novag IntelliHead system takes seed distribution to a new level:
Each outlet from the distributor head is equipped with an electrically controlled flap. This allows individual selection of active openers and automatic shut-off of sections to avoid overlapping.
At the same time, the seed flow is monitored in real time, giving you a constant overview of the distribution.
The ISOBUS interface including Dynamic DDOP ensures full integration into common tractor systems – manual selection of any tramline switching is also possible without any problems.
Hydraulically driven dosing units
All metering systems on Novag seed drills are hydraulically driven – for maximum performance and flexibility.
The hydraulic system enables the precise metering of large seeds at low quantities as well as high application rates.
A two-stage, intuitive calibration system ensures particular accuracy.
The T-ForcePlus 850/950 and the larger models are equipped with the IntelliCore+ Metering units.
It offers a selection of flexible metering rotors that are optimally adapted to different seed and fertilizer grain sizes and sowing rates. Maintenance is particularly easy and the rotors can be changed in just a few simple steps, even when the hoppers are full.
The seed rate is adjusted to the speed in real time in order to precisely meet the target rate. Optionally, the seed rate can be adjusted on a site-specific prescription maps.
Thanks to the central axle design, the turning circle of the T-ForcePlus 850/950 remains exceptionally small despite its impressive size.
This enables shorter headlands and optimum use of the field area. The load distribution on the tractor is perfectly balanced and ensures the best compromise between traction and coulter pressure in every situation.
The T-ForcePlus 850/950 is equipped with a two-part folding system that allows maximum access to the sowing units – ideal for maintenance and inspection.
Despite its large working width, the machine remains under 3 meters transport width and under 4 meters transport height, which ensures safe road transport.
This well thought-out folding system combines robustness, ease of use and practicality and makes the T-ForcePlus 850 / 950 a transport-friendly and service-oriented solution for professional no-till use on large areas.
Tracked undercarriage for maximum soil protection
In wet or difficult soil conditions, soil compaction is a key issue for every farmer.
Healthy soil carries more weight
For the T-ForcePlus 850/950, Novag goes one step further:
It is equipped with 750 mm wide CAMSO tracks with a suspension system.
With a total contact area of 2.6 m², the ground pressure remains below 1 bar, even with a fully loaded container weighing up to 30 tons.
The crawler drive also offers other decisive advantages:
Optimum load transfer: The Axle’s central pivot joint transfers the tractive force efficiently to the tractor.
Less vibration: Smooth running on the road and in the field ensures greater comfort and durability.
In the system ofconservation agriculture, the soil structure improves over time.
The undisturbed soil layers and the increasing humus content increase the load-bearing capacity of the soil – allowing it to absorb heavier machinery without being damaged by compaction.
Another reason to focus on sustainable farming.
Ballasting option – maximum performance on any soil
The Novag T-ForcePlus 850 and 950 can be optionally equipped with ballast weights on the frame for particularly tough conditions, for example in summer directly after harvesting.
Two 600 kg ballast plates can be mounted in each wing – i.e. 2.4 t of additional weight. These plates are easy to remove so that the machine can be optimally adapted to the ground conditions. There is also the option of placing two 2 t weights centrally above the crawler track. This provides sufficient ballast for the maximum number of openers.
This ensures that the seed drill can handle the maximum coulter pressure of up to 500 kg per row and does not lift – ideal for extremely hard or dry soils.
Without additional weights, it works lightly and gently on damp or soft surfaces, enabling optimum adaptation to any application situation.
