Pseudo-precision system for row crops, maize / sunflowers
The T-ForcePlus 450 is Novag’s best-selling no-till machine for good reason.
Thanks to a good balance between size and power requirements, this model is attractive to most farms and contractors – including larger farms in transition to no-till.
At an average working speed of 8 km/h, more land can be cultivated in less time than with conventional methods.
The TF+450 is available in two versions: The standard model has a working width of 4.0 m and the model for “controlled traffic”, the TF+450CT, has an extended working width of 4.5 m.
The T-SlotPlus system from Novag ensures optimum seed placement and therefore reliable yields, even in difficult no-till conditions. The special T-slot shape is created by a vertical disc and two T-shaped Seed blades, which place the seed and fertilizer separately to the side.
Lots of pressure, but intelligently
Soil resistance varies greatly – due to compaction, stones or changing soil types. The IntelliForcePlus system automatically adjusts the coulter pressure for a constant sowing depth, especially with no-till.
Sensors on the Press wheels measure the resistance, hydraulic cylinders regulate the pressure individually for each opener (up to 500 kg and 430 mm stroke). Thanks to the parallelogram, each opener always remains stable and in precise contact with the ground
The main hopper of the T-ForcePlus 450 is divided and reliably separates seed and fertilizer. The two chambers of the main hopper offer a total volume of 4,200 l and have a flexible volume ratio of either 55 / 45 % or 67 / 33 %, ideal for adapting to different crops, seed rates or fertilizer strategies.
Two 120-liter additional tanks are optionally available at the rear, which can be used for the separate metering of fine seeds, micro-granulates or slug pellets.
All hoppers can deliver their products to each openers independently of each other, allowing several components to be used at the same time. Up to four different products can be applied at the same time – e.g. two crops, fertilizer and slug pellets.
Each dispenser is precisely controlled by hydraulic motors. This provides constant performance, even at low speeds – without overheating or loss of torque. Ideal for mixtures with different quantities and seed sizes. The calibration process is quick and easy – just as modern no-till technology demands.
The generously dimensioned fan is equipped with an oil cooler / air warmer, which ensures a strong & dry air flow – even during long working days late into the night.
Additional tanks
The optional additional hoppers from Novag offer maximum flexibility when sowing.
Up to two 120-liter hoppers can be added for precise metering of fine seeds, micro-granules or slug pellets.
The products can either be introduced into the air flow of the main tanks or applied separately – in front of the openers to sow small seeds slightly covered,
or behind, typically for a slug pellet application.
Selective selection of openers
The Novag seed drill allows exceptional flexibility in the choice of active seed rows.
The sowing depth of each opener can be individually adjusted and also selectively switched on and off – for example every 2nd, 3rd or 4th row, ideal for rapeseed, soya or maize.
Twin Row
Double rows are also possible quickly and easily thanks to the hydraulic single coulter shut-off. This means, for example, that with maize and a general coulter spacing of 18.75 cm, sowing can be carried out with only 2 out of 4 coulters.
This results in a double row, which has a central spacing of 75 cm to the next double row.
Alternatively, there is IntelliRow, a Pseudo-singulation system which, with the additional tanks, ensures precise placement, especially of sugar beet and sunflowers.
Seed flow monitoring
The Novag seed monitoring system ensures maximum control and safety during sowing.
It can be installed on both the main hoppers and the auxiliary hoppers.
Sensors monitor the seed flow in real time, detect blockages immediately and provide an accurate estimate of the application rate in seeds per second.
This keeps sowing precise, efficient and trouble-free at all times.
Hydraulically driven dosing units
All metering systems on Novag seed drills are hydraulically driven – for maximum performance and flexibility.
The hydraulic system enables precise metering of large seeds at low rates as well as high application rates. A two-stage, intuitive calibration system ensures particular accuracy.
The T-ForcePlus 350 & 450 have metering units that have an adjustable Metering rotor opening that can be set to any seed.
The seed rate is adjusted to the forward speed in real time in order to precisely meet the target rate. Optionally, the seed rate can be adjusted on a site-specific prescription maps.
A powerful fan with integrated oil cooler and air preheater ensures optimum working conditions at any temperature.
Thanks to the central axle design, the turning circle is impressively small despite the size of the machine. This enables shorter headlands and maximum utilization of your field’s potential.
The load transfer to the tractor is optimally balanced and ensures the best compromise between traction and weight for the coulter pressure of the openers in all situations.
The two-part folding system on the T-ForcePlus 450 makes it even more practical:
The machine can be folded to a transport width of 3 meters – for safe road transport with European approval up to 40 km/h.
The folding system also facilitates access under the front hopper, making maintenance and inspection easier.
Automatic locking hooks ensure maximum safety on the road.
Larger contact area – Less soil compaction
In wet or difficult soil conditions, soil compaction is a key issue for every farmer.
Thanks to Novag’s intelligent design and robust tire and track solutions, the soil remains protected – and the work is done efficiently.
Soil-friendly tires
By optimally adjusting the tire pressure from road to field use, the weight is evenly distributed – and the ground pressure is significantly reduced.
Adapted tire pressure is crucial to avoid compaction. Although Novag does not offer a factory-fitted tire pressure regulation system, the axles are pre-drilled so that this useful system can be easily retrofitted.
Ballasting option – maximum performance on any soil
The Novag T-ForcePlus 450 can be optionally equipped with ballast weights in the wings for particularly tough conditions, for example in summer directly after harvesting.
Depending on the model (450 or 450CT), additional weights of 1.2 or 1.7 t can be fitted – removable, so that the machine can be flexibly adapted to the operating conditions.
The additional weight enables the seed drill to utilize the full coulter pressure of up to 500 kg per row.
This means that the sowing depth remains constant, even on firm or dry soils, and the seed is placed precisely in the optimum horizon.
Large red main tank with partition wall: front and rear area for seed or fertilizer
Separate conveying of each product to each openers (front and rear seed bar)
Separate application of seed and fertilizer with separate Seed blades on both sides of the cutting disc
Pseudo-precision system for row crops, maize / sunflowers

More next year, please!
Claus Schmid was one of the first farmers in the region in the south of Baden-Württemberg to venture into no-till farming. After purchasing a Novag T-ForcePlus 450, he realized that many of his colleagues had obviously just been waiting for it.
